6 months old

Here are our latest pictures. Taken just a week ago and mom already has them up on the blog. Dax is 6 months old now and Wes and Sadie are 20 months old. I haven't ever been a big one for matching outfits but we already had the little shirt and when I saw the bigger size I thought it would be fun for the boys. We are grateful for happy and healthy kids. Dax had his surgery postponed due to RSV and it looks like his ear will be fixed once we are in CA. We are so glad to have them!

Playing in the sandbox

Our new favorite thing to do outside is play in the sandbox. It is even more fun after a thunderstorm because the rain collects and creates a little beach for us!

Dad, Sadie and Dax on the couch enjoying a little togetherness.
And finally we were free of fevers and able to go to the park. We felt like we had been under house arrest for 2 weeks and it was wonderful to be free!
Even Dax wasn't spared from the RSV. He does not like to take medicine and so we were extra glad when his fever finally broke. He would smile and laugh and cough and then smile again.
These are the pictures Uncle Bill took of Wes. He got a little tired with all the playing- this was the most sick he has ever been. We were glad when it started to clear up. Wes loves to play outside and make Dax laugh and already he seems to think it is fun to tease Sadie- why do all brothers think that is fun?
In March Uncle Bill came to visit. We were so excited to have him here. The kids were all sick with RSV but in the morning when they were feeling a little better we would go outside and play. Toward the end of his visit they stopped having fevers and he took this wonderful pictures of the kids. This is Miss Sadie. She really likes taking pictures now and is a joy in our life.
The last Sunday of the month we blessed Daxton Beaux Cotter. The Rocks and Johnstons came. We only managed to get a few pictures outside of the church right after it ended. It was a fun weekend with everyone here and the weather was lovely. The circle included- Dad, Uncle Brian, Uncle Justin, Drew Brown, Adam Smith, Bart Stears and Brady Burr from the Bishopric.
It takes a lot of little things to keep everything running smoothly and everyone happy. This is something I tried one afternoon. Wes didn't like them on his face- Sadie liked them on Dax's face and Dax wasn't really sure what was going on. However, it made for an entertaining 20 minutes and sometimes that's all you can ask for.

5 months old

Also in Feb- little Dax turned 5 months old. He cut 2 teeth this week!

An afternoon of snow

On Feb. 13, 2012 it snowed in Moore, OK. We went right out to play in it. All winter it has been cold and frozen with freezing winds- not very good weather for playing outside. On this day it was a little more warm with the cloud cover, but that warmth also made it so that the snow only stayed for a few hours. We made a few snowballs and the kids had a lot of fun. We wish we could have enjoyed a little more snow this year.
