A walk down memory lane...

Recently my mom sent me a picture of herself when she was expecting me. I started thinking about small moments that we can loose track of over time. I found these pictures saved on the computer and wanted to add them to the blog so that when we print the book they will be included. I am not sure who the cute baby is in the above picture- from the date I would have to say it was Chad Cotter based on his age currently and the approximate age of the baby in the picture and that Buck was born in May of 1978.

I thought it was appropriate to include this picture of Donna with her new baby- I think this is baby Charla. This is a season in our lives of growing families and I see the look of love and the excitement on her face and recognize that on the faces of my sisters and sister-in-law as they hold their new babies.

Growing Families

I should have included this picture in the last post, but my computer skills were lacking and so it is posted on it's own. This is Bill and Marianne with Baby Elyse on her blessing day. They are a wonderful family and it has brought us all great joy to have Elyse with us.

My mom was going through some pictures and sent this one to me- this must have been in the summer of 1980 and she is expecting me! This would be in Pennsylvania and Scott and Tanya are standing in front of her. Tanya would turn 2 years old on the day that I was born- I tease her that I was the best birthday gift she could ever want! Scott would have turned 4 years old the May before I was born. Even though I was very young, I remember the day that Scott figured out that our ages were 2,4,6,8- that was with the addition of Amanda a few years later. It's a little different now- in a few weeks when Tanya and I- and Melissa I should add- have a birthday, our ages will be 27, 30, 32 and 34- when Amanda has a birthday in November she will bring us back into balance and turn 28. This post was not intended to become a math lesson- numbers have been on my mind a lot lately- I have 3 more days of being pregnant before our 2 babies are born and then we will be in the hospital for 4 days and I am very grateful to have 1 very wonderful husband who helps me keep it all together.

Recent Events

This is Buck and I at Bill and Marianne's house after they blessed baby Elyse on July 17. The blessing was very beautiful and we are very happy to have a new niece. We are 36 1/2 weeks along in this picture.

We were able to see Elyse in the hospital soon after she was born- this is Buck with Elyse.

I was at work the day after Elyse was born and it was fun to be able to take a break from the Emergency Room to the happier side of the hospital with all the new babies. When I would hold her against my stomach the babies in my stomach would kick- I'm not sure if they were trying to say "Hi" to their new cousin or if they were feeling crammed in that day.

This is at Marianne's baby shower. It was very lovely and the food was delicious. Here we are with Charla, Annabelle and Adeline. I am glad Marianne sent me a picture of her shower, I didn't bring my camera and so this is late being posted- her shower was in May and Baby Elyse was born the next day.
