Sadie and her white dress

These pictures are from Easter 2012. I made this dress for Sadie before she was born. I wanted to make her a dress for her blessing. I carefully measured the white satin and used some of my favorite lace from my grandmother. I remember thinking how tiny the seams were as I followed the newborn pattern size. The night before the blessing I tried the dress on her and it was huge! I tried to pin it and somehow make it work but to no avail. She ended up wearing a cute hand-me-down outfit and now, when she will turn 2 this summer- the dress fits her.
