Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from the Cotters!
The following pictures are to give a little idea of some of what we went through to get this picture of everyone looking, and everyone smiling- well, almost everyone!
With a toy and Sadie letting us know the neighbors dogs had been let outside
Changing hats and giving some treats
The first had seemed to bother Wes- he was better once he found a stick and Sadie just wanted to play- we took the pictures in our backyard this year.
We had forgotten how small they all are until we saw ourselves standing next to them- they are wonderful and they are all still very young!

November 2011

We love to play outside
Sadie loves to play with the Easter baskets from last year
Dad and Dax
Dad needed a haircut and between that and the style of his shirt this pictures looks like it could have been taken in the early 1980's. Any decade you put him in his is still handsome!
Trying to get a family picture- Dad, Dax and Sadie- Wes was running around the yard

2 months old

Dax wearing his new onesie from Rhonda- now that the twins are getting used to him they have become a little more curious and so we didn't get any pictures of the 3 of them together.
Our smiling little boy

And so ends our little picture taking session!

Wes at 16 months in his new shirt from our friend Rhonda in Arizona.
Sadie can be seen most days carrying her dollie around.
She loves her dollie- thanks Aunt Tanya for the gift!

Sadie in her new shirt
He looks so serious but he is full of fun
Coming to get the camera
Getting more hair every day!

Happy Halloween!

Our friends the Stears at the chili cook-off.
Buck made the shield for this Captain America
The Smiths- bringing the Elf costumes back with style
It was a battle to get one picture with Sadie's antennas on- but she loved to wear Wesley's fireman hat- what an expression!
This is the only picture we have with her in her full costume. The Smith's let us borrow this bumble bee costume- it's the Pottery Barns take and I thought she looked so cute in it- even without the antennas
this is mom trying to convince her to leave them on- as soon as I let go of her hands, off it came.
Our best family picture- I made Dax a Jack-O-Lantern costume the morning of- his hat kept slipping over his face, but we couldn't leave him out
The cutest fireman ever!

Everyday we learn something new...

Again, while making dinner I heard some strange noises and laughter- and this is what I found!

Sadie- the trusty look-out!

While cooking dinner...

The house got pretty quiet one night while I was cooking dinner so I called out for Wes and Sadie. They don't answer yet but usually someone runs out from where they are, but one this night I just heard a little laugh. I followed the sound of the laugh and when I saw Sadie I had to grab the camera. I started taking pictures as I entered the room. Sadie is acting as the scout I guess.
And this is what I found. Some friends in the ward hosted a very generous shower and we returned home with boxes of diaper- which are like gold to us! I didn't know what to do with all the diapers and so I had tried to stack them under the changing table. I see now that I had created the perfect little staircase for a boy who loves to climb.
Sadie wants to climb like Wes but being a few inches shorter she usually just gets to the first box and watches.
This is what he was after- the light switches.
We love Wes!
Showing me how he managed all this- now I will have to think of somewhere else to put the diapers.
