A little elf told me...

So, the other day at work- or Christmas of 2008, but what is time really, I got an e-mail from my husband with this picture and the caption- Buck baking holiday cookies while his wife is at work. While I loved the picture and the effort to get all dressed up, I was a little concerned about the condition of the kitchen, since the last time he baked-

the kitchen looked like this- and yes, my kitchen does come with Costco sized white and brown sugar and flour "so we don't run out", the purchaser of those products is below- thank goodness he's so cute!

Maybe I should explain why he happened to have a complete elf costume on hand- for Halloween 2007 we were elves- and we did actually have one person ask us what we were- who are these people? I thought we looked great!

So wanting to spread a little Christmas cheer with his wife at work- he sent me the picture to make my day! And for posterity I included the other versions of the elf costume- for those holiday quick changes!

But let's be honest- who can resist this?

Uncle Buck

Such love for Uncle Buck. He has been loved from the moment he came into the family. Here he is with Randall and Amber's kids in January of 2009- they were watching Flushed Away- otherwise known as Flushed in the toilet!

Benton's Birthday 2008

From Benton's birthday in January of 2008- this was the best filling I have ever made and I have not been able to duplicate it since!

Cute cake, cuter girls

Here is a fun cake made by the two Ashley's- they did most of it on their own- such talent!

Happy Birthday Marianne

We made these little dresses for Marianne's birthday, also in March 2008.

Happy Birthday Bill

Happy Birthday Bill! This was in honor of his childhood superman cake- it was Buck's idea to make this for his. March 2008

My Husband

This is us in August of 2008- yes, I realize how far behind I am- thus the blog, goodbye cute scrapbooking. We are at the wedding of Jessica and Brandon- I worked with both of them at Banner Baywood and he has recently returned home safely from Afghanistan. We are grateful for his service and safe return and enjoyed their beautiful wedding- it was fun to get all dressed up!
