May in Arizona

Again, thanks to Aunt Marianne for the beautiful pictures. Here are the Watts cousins- Addy, Annabelle and Charlie at a little party we had before we moved to Oklahoma.

I know the pictures were impromptu but I think this is a wonderful picture of Chad and Sara's family.

Buck Cotter Family- with baby #3 on the way!

Three generations- Grandpa Charles, Buck and Wes

Bill and Elyse taking a little stroll

Brooke and Charlie playing at the park. We will miss everyone!

Happy Easter 2011

Chad and Sara had Easter at their house this year. We had delicious food, Charla made Easter baskets for all the kids and then there was an Easter egg hunt. It was a beautiful afternoon and fun to be all together. Here are the uncles outside.
These cute bunny cakes were made by Marianne- and all these pictures are from her too. I had to leave for work but I heard the cakes were delicious!

Sadie, Wes and MomThe kids had cute spring clothes on- I had come from work that morning and left the party early to return to work. Someday I will be able to wear cute spring clothes too and not rush around to work- especially on the weekend!

This face says to me that there is about the be a negotiation between mother and daughter. This was right after I had taken the Easter basket because she was eating the paper tag. Clearly there is some reason that this didn't need to happen- I love this little girl!

Wrestle Mania

There are very few places that Buck can "hide" but it still gets a laugh out of Wes each time! And, as you can see, if Dad isn't coming fast enough, Wes will go and find him, and still be surprised- it is very entertaining to watch.

Wes is laughing really hard

Now Sadie has come in to help- they stand really well and Wes can stand up by himself and has taken one step so no walking yet here and thank goodness!

Happy children over the apparently conquered father

Sadie showing off her wrestling moves

A victory growl- it is so funny to hear a growl come out of this cute girl

Now she can be sure that victory is her's

Wes is ready for another round- such a cute face!

A Sunday Afternoon

Last Sunday I was tring to update the blog so that maybe this Christmas I can print it into a book for the kids. I kept hearing all this laughing and growling and came out to see that this was the game that had been keeping everyone entertained. Becky observed when she was here with us that it seemed like the kids enjoyed playing with things that weren't their toys instead of their actual toys. I agreed with her then and I agree with her now- a little shoelace can provide a lot of entertainment- and it's a new shoelace.

Sadie did not think it was fun to play, but did enjoy watching them. Wes was laughing so hard and Dad was laughing because Wes was laughing so much.

Sadie crawled over to me hoping for a chance to play with the camera.

such a beautiful little girl

so happy together

replacing the shoelace for another round

One of life's little pleasures!

Sadie meanwhile was moving some of her stash to another location- I am usually not fast enough with the camera to catch this in action- anything she wants to move, she puts in her mouth and crawls to the next location- lids, stuffed animals, clothes, toys, clean diapers- anything! Such a clever little girl!

Thank you!

I had an idea one morning that with the thank you cards I was writing I should include a picture of the kids, then I had a better idea that the kids should be the thank you and I could order the picture as a notecard and write on the back. I thought it would be really cute and personal- so I set out to try and take some pictures with the kids holding a sign that read- Thank you!. I knew they would put them in their mouths but I thought I might have 5 seconds to take a couple of pictures before that happened. I sorely misjudged their speed! So, while we are very grateful for all the kindness that has been shown to us- especially with the recent move- like the great toys from Aunt Melissa, the help from Grandma, Becky and James and Brian just to name a few- if you do get a thank you card, it will be a plain one!

Wes dropped his sign behind the couch and decided he was done taking pictures- Sadie showing that she does know how to wave.

With one sign left the competition was steep!

This was literally the 2 seconds after I handed them the signs- you can almost make out the words and their expressions are priceless!

Maybe we can try this idea again in a few years- I still think it would be cute and efficient!

Waiting for Dad

This is the home we are renting in Oklahoma

The kids spend a lot of time waiting outside of the office for Dad. Wes had been standing here and then Sadie came, they were standing there for so long that I went to get the camera. Wes had crawled away to play with a toy when I returned but this is a familiar scene that plays out a few times each day. They know he is in there and the know they don't get to go in there, so they stand outside and wait for him to come out. Sometimes they will bang on the door and call out to him and other times they stand there in silence. They really love their Dad.

A morning out on the lawn

The house in Oklahoma has a large front lawn, as do most houses here and in the cool mornings we like to play out on the lawn.

Sadie often prefers to stay on the sidewalk as opposed to the grass.

Wes is examining a piece of grass probably before he puts it in his mouth!

And yes, here is the official taste test.

We like to watch all the cars go by in the morning.

Soon when they are more mobile this won't be such a calm morning and we will have to find a new way to enjoy the outdoors. Our backyard has a slope to it and at this stage the slope overtakes them and they go rolling down which they do not think is very fun.

Such a cute way to start the day!
